Welcome to the studio of SalonD'Arte!
We are so excited to be participating in LeslieRahye's Second Annual EARTH DAY Bloghop.
The project we are sharing today is a keepsake project - an altered mini matchbox dresser made from recycled matchbook boxes - and the drawers really open, too!
Tabletop and mirrorback are cut from recycled chipboard from notepads; then drybrushed in a pale pink acrylic paint. The matchboxes are stacked in threes, glued together and wrapped in a coordinating scrap of patterned paper. The fronts of the drawers are also drybrushed pink - embellished with stickers layered with clear mini brads for drawer pulls. Crystal faceted beads added for feet. All the desktop embellishments and the flowers on drawer pulls are stickers from Crafty Secrets. I have a sweet keepsake of a favorite picture of me and I have some vintage buttons that were my great grandmothers tucked inside for safekeeping.
